Back from MHEDA 2011 Convention

With the mini-mezzanine dismantled, the grand prize given away, and all the business cards pulled out of the fish bowl, MHEDA Convention 2011 already seems far behind us now. All the excitement leading to the 2011 MHEDA convention has finally dissipated and now that we’re back in our offices, it’s time to recap the show.

MHEDA conventions always bring familiar faces and new faces to their venues every year. So while we’re greeting old friends, we’re also making new acquaintances. There were plenty of opportunities for networking and Bluff Manufacturing definitely met many potential distributors to partner with in the future.

MHEDA conventions usually draw big crowds and this year was no exception. We saw many people at the break out sessions and social activities but not quite as many at the exhibit.   We came back from Phoenix with great information and more connections.

So after weeks of teasing our customers and distributors about a BIG surprise at the Bluff booth, we were able to showcase a mini version of our mezzanines It’s good to note a lot more people are now aware of our diverse product offerings thanks to our “big little” mezzanine at the show!

So who walked away from the drawing with the amazing Amazon Kindle?? Congratulations to Tom O’Brian from Ralphs-Pugh Company! We wish you many happy hours of good reading! And thanks to Keith Shipman from Cornerstone ResinDek for drawing the winning card during “Exhibitor Happy Hour.”

And for anyone who was ever curious about the answers to our riddle at MHEDA, here they are:

Bluff Manufacturing offers high quality Red Pin Steel Dock Board (C). What does the “C” stand for and why does Bluff no longer recommend that Board for rail use?

Answer: “Combination” board for both Rail and Truck. The C board is no longer recommended for rail cars as it does not have the locking mechanism and box understructure to keep it securely in place.

What Bluff Manufacturing innovation has created safety and efficiency for forklift drivers when moving dock boards?

Answer: Speedy Board

Can you name three Bluff Manufacturing products from the BLS line?

Answer: Mezzanines, Slab Handling Equipment, Stairways

Which product did Bluff display at MHEDA 2010?

Answer: The Spring Loaded Dock Plate

To all those who stopped by our booth, thank you for visiting us. We hope your visit with us was fruitful and we’ll be glad to talk to you if you have any questions or inquiries. Just give us a call at 800-433-2212 or email us at bluff@bluffmanufacturing.com.
