June is safety month – celebrating 100 years of promoting a safer world.

It’s June again. The weather is beautiful (and even unpredictable in certain parts and at certain times). We’re in the midst of summer. And with all things June – we have one more crucial factor to consider – Safety. June is National Safety Month (as promoted by the National Safety Council) and this year’s theme is “Safety starts with me.” This year’s safety promotion is not just based on Safety being adopted by the company leaders and trickling top down, but for everyone in their organizations to be safety leaders in their own right.

We recently talked about staying safe in unpredictable weather.  Now is the time to look at all other uncertainties and plan for contingencies. Talking and thinking about safety will help us reevaluate our processes and procedures and see how we can make everyone and everything safer. Let’s commit time and energy to securing our personnel and property.
