Safety First! How many times have we heard that expression – From our childhood days, all throughout adolescence and into adulthood? Safety has and always will be of utmost importance; at the workplace, at home, on the road… everywhere.
Even though this may be second nature, we sometimes need a reminder – to be aware and to be safe. Every year, the National Safety Council highlights the month of June as the National Safety Month. The National Safety Council (NSC) encourages businesses to promote safety standards and places even stronger emphasis on safety issues during this summer month. Companies can participate in some of the NSC recommended programs. Every week during the month of June, the NSC will promote a theme that will focus on a critical safety concern. This week’s focus will be on Prescription Drug Overdose Prevention. See schedule below:

There are sponsorship opportunities available with the NSC and companies have many opportunities to get involved with this organization and highlight safety issues in their efforts to create better and safer work and home environments for their employees.
